Museum Satria Mandala adalah museum sejarah perjuangan Tentara Nasional Indonesia yang terletak di Jalan Gatot Subroto, Jakarta Selatan. Selain itu museum ini juga menyimpan berbagai macam benda bersejarah yang berkaitan dengan TNI seperti aneka senjata berat maupun ringan, atribut ketentaraan, panji-panji dan lambang-lambang di lingkungan TNI. penerapan interior yang baik dan nyaman juga penting untuk menghasilkan kenyamanan pada pengunjung baik yang sekedar berekreasi atau tujuan Pendidikan, dan sekaligus menghilangkan citra museum yang kurang baik. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis memilih Perencanaan Interior Museum Satria Mandala Jakarta Selatan untuk dijadikan proyek tugas akhir.

PENDAHULUAN

INDENTIFIKASI MASALAH
1. Bagaimana menciptakan interior Museum Satria Mandala dengan tampilan Kolonial Tradisional dengan nuansa pedesaan di daerah jawa pada saat zaman penjajahan? 2. Bagaimana menata display koleksi museum untuk mempermudah aksesibilitas dan dapat memberikan informasi yang jelas tentang display pameran di museum dengan mudah dan cepat sesuai? 3. Bagaimana menciptakan fasilitas-fasilitas sebagai sarana pemberi informasi dan pendukung yang mengikuti atau sesuai perkembangan zaman milenial?
TUJUAN PERANCANGAN
Tujuan dari perancangan desain interior Museum Satria Mandala adalah menampilkan sebuah desain museum yang kolonial Tradisional dengan sentuhan modern, dimana interiornya dapat memberikan suasana yang baru dan juga mendukung proses edukasi bagi pengunjung saat berada di dalam museum.
BATASAN PERANCANGAN
1. Area penerimaan yaitu (lobby dan loket). 2. Area penunjang seperti (ruang kantor, kantin, koperasi, janitor, gudang, tempat penitipan dan toilet). 3. Area ruang pameran.
METODE PERANCANGAN
1. Identifikasi : yaitu dengan cara melakukan pengamatan secara langsung dilapangan, pengamatan tidak langsung melalui internet, serta mendokumentasikan langsung sebagai bahan acuan dalam mendesain. 2. Wawancara : yaitu dilaksanakan dengan cara berdiskusi atau tanya jawab dengan pihak terkait untuk mendapatkan data-data yang bersifat non teknis. 3. Studi Literatur : yaitu mendapatkan dengan cara mempelajari bahan perkuliahan dan buku-buku yang mendukung penulisan laporan, serta berdasarkan laporan mahasiswa sebelumnya.
