Perkembangan produk fashion yang semakin berkembang pesat membuat masyarakat berlomba-lomba untuk membeli produk trend fashion terbaru dari berbagai macam merk. Hal tersebut menyebabkan limbah pakaian bertambah. Selain itu limbah kain perca yang berasal dari hasil sisa prduksi produk fashion pun juga bertambah. Perancangan totebag ini bertujuan agar mengurangi limbah pakaian dan limbah kain perca.

Totebag yang terbuat dari pakaian yang sudah tidak terpakai, kemudian pada bagian depan totebag diberi gambar yang terbuat dari potongan-potongan kain perca.
MASALAH DESAIN
1. Bagaimana cara mengolah pakaian bekas sehingga menjadi produk totebag? 2. Bagaimana cara mengatur pola potongan kain perca sehingga menjadi gambar yang mudah dikenal?
TUJUAN DESAIN
1. Terciptanya perancangan produk totebag yang terbuat dari pakaian bekas. 2. Terciptanya totebag dengan gambar yang terbuat dari kain perca.
MANFAAT DESAIN
1. Manfaat bagi pengguna adalah sebagai penunjang penampilan dengan adanya penggunaan limbah pakaian dan limbah kain perca sebagai material utama pada totebag sehingga menciptakan produk limited edition. 2. Manfaat bagi lingkungan adalah mengurangi limbah kain agar berdampak baik bagi lingkungan.

    Perwujudan gambar yang terbuat dari kain perca saya menggunakan teknik applique yang dimana teknik applique ini adalah seni menempelkan potongan-potongan kain perca diatas permukaan kain utuh sehingga membuat sebuah gambar atau motif.
