Sepatu merupakan salah satu aksesoris pakaian yang digunakan sehari-hari diluar ruangan namun tidak dapat dicuci setiap saat layaknya sebuah pakaian. Penyimpanannya yang kurang higienis dapat berpotensi menjadi tempat pertumbuhan kuman dan bakteri yang terbawa setelah digunakan seharian. Produk yang telah dirancang ini diharapkan dapat menjawab permasalahan tersebut. Cahaya UV-C yang biasa dimanfaatkan di rumah sakit, pesawat terbang, kantor, dan pabrik untuk membunuh bakteri, diaplikasikan pada rak sepatu bangku ini yang bisa digunakan pada rumah hunian. Produk ini dapat digunakan di berbagai sudut hunian bahkan pada hunian dengan lahan terbatas sekalipun.

INTEPRETASI JUDUL
Umumnya rak sepatu bangku ialah merupakan jenis furnitur yang menempati sebuah ruang untuk penyimpanan alas kaki agar lebih tertata rapih serta memiliki fungsi tambahan untuk duduk diatasnya, namun masih jarang produk rak sepatu yang memperhatikan sistem penyimpanan yang higienis. Memanfaatkan kemampuan sterilisasi menggunakan bantuan cahaya ultraviolet, produk ini dapat meminimilasiri potensi perkembangan virus atau bakteri pada sepatu setelah digunakan untuk beraktifitas diluar rumah. Pembaruan tersebut diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi penyimpanan alas kaki yang rapih dan higienis.

1. Manfaat untuk Diri Sendiri Menambah wawasan dan mengasah kreatifitas penulis dalam membuat sebuah produk inovasi yang mengandung nilai modern dan menarik serta ergonomis pada setiap produk berdasarkan target penggunanya, khususnya pada produk rak sepatu bangku. 2. Manfaat untuk Masyarakat Para masyarakat yang tinggal pada hunian dengan lahan terbatas semakin sadar akan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan. Salah satunya dengan memperhatikan kebersihan sistem penyimpanan alas kaki yang biasa digunakan sehari-hari. Dengan produk ini konsumen dapat meminimalisir potensi berkembangnya kuman dan bakteri yang mungkin dapat terbawa ke dalam rumah.

    Efektifitas dalam proses sterilisasi hanya dibutuhkan waktu 15 menit, rak sepatu sejenis selain membunuh bakteri juga dapat menghilangkan bau.     Proses pencucian pada sepatu tetap menjadi prioritas dalam menjaga kebersihan sepatu namun seperti kita ketahui berbeda dengan pakaian, proses pencucian sepatu lebih memakan waktu sehingga tidak dapat dilakukan setiap saat setelah penggunaan khususnya sepatu yang dibutuhkan untuk digunakan beraktifitas sehari-hari. Adanya produk ini merupakan upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan secara rutin setelah/sebelum penggunaan sepatu guna menekan pertumbuhan virus atau bakteri yang berpotensi terbawa dari luar.

    Pemilihan seng alumunium pada sebagai pelapis bagian penyimpanan dikarenakan beberapa pertimbangan, antara lain:

    -Material ini memiliki ketahanan yang cukup baik sehingga dapat menjaga suhu dalam kotak selama masa sterilisasi dan dapat mencegah kayu dari suhu hangat yang mungkin dapat
    dihasilkan pada lampu pada saat menyala.
    -Material seng dapat memantulkan cahaya cukup baik
    -Proses pembersihan lebih mudah karena dapat dibersihkan dengan air (rak dapat dilepas untuk proses maintenance)
    -Dari segi ekonomi harga material ini cukup terjangkau

    Selain itu pemilihan akrilik dengan lapisan film riben 60% di bagian depannya untuk membaur cahaya dari dalam ketika dilihat dari luar karena menurut instruksi pemakaian, kontak mata pada sinar UV seharusnya dihindari namun pada penggunaan produk ini dibutuhkan bagian tembus pandang yang dapat dilihat guna memastikan proses sterilisasi berlangsung pada saat rak tertutup.

    Menurut studi kedokteran yang pernah dilakukan tentang penggunaan sinar UV-C untuk kebutuhan sterilisasi. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut disebutkan bahwa waktu yang dibutuhkan untuk mencapai efektifitas dalam proses sterilisasi hanya dibutuhkan waktu 15 menit, selain itu produk ini juga dilengkapi dengan smart breaker sehingga pengguna dapat mengatur waktu penggunaan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari manapun dan kapanpun selama produk terhubung dengan koneksi wifi.
    Selain itu perlu diketahui juga bahwa intensitas kecerahan lampu ultraviolet tidak setinggi lampu LED rumahan pada umumnya sehingga tidak menimbulkan hawa panas berlebih khususnya ketika digunakan dalam jarak yang dekat bahkan pada permukaan yang terbuat dari plastik sekalipun. kesimpulannya selama digunakan sesuai jangka waktu yang dianjurkan sangat minim kemungkinan kerusakan yang akan terjadi pada sepatu.
