Hujan yang tidak dapat diprediksi kapan datangnya menyebabkan masyarakat Indonesia perlu mempersiapkan benda atau peralatan guna melindungi diri dari hujan, seperti jas hujan. Namun desain jas hujan yang umumnya hanya sampai sebatas mata kaki tidak dapat melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh, terutama pada bagian kaki itu sendiri. Sehingga penggabungan jas hujan dan pelindung kaki pada perancangan ini akan mencoba menjawab permasalahan tersebut.

PENDAHULUAN

INTEPRETASI JUDUL
1. Jas hujan yang dirancang agar dapat melindungi seluruh tubuh hingga bagian kaki penggunanya secara keseluruhan. 2. Jas hujan ini dirancang untuk pengguna kendaraan bermotor yang bekerja agar sepatu yang mereka gunakan saat berkendara di cuaca hujan tetap dalam kondisi yang kering dan bersih sampai di tempat tujuan saat berpergian.
MASALAH DESAIN
1. Bagaimana desain jas hujan yang aman, nyaman dan praktis saat digunakan? 2. Bagaimana desain jas hujan yang dapat melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh hingga bagian kaki? 3. Bagaimana desain jas hujan yang dapat menjaga sepatu yang digunakan agar tetap bersih dan kering? 4. Bagaimana desain jas hujan yang dapat menunjang penampilan saat digunakan?
TUJUAN DESAIN
1. Terciptanya jas hujan yang aman, nyaman dan praktis saat digunakan. 2. Tercipatanya jas hujan yang dapat melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh hingga bagian kaki. 3. Terciptanya jas hujan yang dapat menjaga sepatu yang digunakan agar tetap bersih dan kering. 4. Terciptanya jas hujan yang dapat menunjang penampilan saat digunakan.
MANFAAT DESAIN
Manfaat bagi pengguna adalah mendapatkan produk jas hujan yang aman, nyaman dan praktis digunakan, dapat melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh hingga bagian kaki, menjaga sepatu yang digunakan agar tetap bersih dan kering serta dapat menunjang penampilan saat digunakan.

    Selamat malam, Bu Dwi. Terima atas komentar & pertanyaannya. Mungkin teringat dengan minion dan squid game karna warna dan visualisasi bentuk kepalanya ya bu hehe. Untuk warna sendiri saya terinspirasi dengan kondisi cuaca dari penggunaan jas hujan yang mendung dan gelap, sehingga saya memilih warna tsb untuk menggambarkan warna matahari.
    Lalu untuk detail pola sudah saya cantumkan di laporan, namun berdasarkan instruksi dari koordinator TA sebaiknya tidak mencantumkan pola untuk menghindari plagiarism. Selebihnya akan saya perbaiki lebih detail di laporan, terima kasih atas masukannya, Bu.

    Untuk material alas kaki saya menggunakan sol karet yang sudah dicetak dalam bentuk seperti alas kaki sepatu. Mengenai perbandingan material tersebut secara detail memang tidak saya lampirkan pada slide presentasi pameran yang singkat ini, namun telah saya lampirkan dalam bentuk tabel di dalam laporan, Bu. Beberapa nama material yg menjadi perbandingan tsb diantaranya adalah Sol Karet, Thermoplastic Polyurethane, Ethyl Vinyl Acetate, dan Thermoplastic Rubber.
    Alasan saya memilih Sol Karet adalah kelebihannya yg saya analisa cukup memenuhi standar dalam perancangan ini seperti karakteristiknya yang tahan terhadap aus sehingga tidak mudah menipis, cukup baik menjadi material yang anti slip, tahan air, elastis dan harganya yang cenderung paling murah dari material perbandingan lainnya.
    Lalu untuk celana jas hujan itu sendiri memang dirancang menyatu dengan pelindung sepatu, hal tsb bertujuan untuk mempersingkat waktu pemakaian dan menunjang aspek kepraktisan karna penggunaannya yang dilakukan dalam satu waktu. Namun pada celana tersebut terdapat sistem sambungan berupa velcro yang mana nantinya dapat dilepas sehingga posisi celana yang tadinya berada di dalam jas hujan dapat dibalik berubah posisi menjadi berada di luar pelindung, sehingga tidak ada lagi celah yang memungkinkan untuk masuknya air ke dalam jas hujan.

    1. Untuk safety yang saya maksud dalam judul adalah safety dalam arti jas hujan yang dapat melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh hingga bagian kaki penggunanya air hujan, mengingat biasanya jas hujan yang sudah ada hanya dirancang sampai sebatas mata kaki sehingga bagian kaki/sepatu pengguna seringkali basah terkena air hujan dan membuat sepatu rentan menjadi cepat rusak. Adapun aktivitas lainnya yakni pengguna yang menggunakan sandal saat hujan guna melindungi sepatu, hal tersebut memiliki resiko kaki terluka lebih besar jika terjadi kecelakaan karna kaki dalam kondisi terbuka. Sehingga saya bertujuan untuk memperbaiki kebiasaan tersebut dengan mendesain jas hujan safety ini.
    2. Untuk data dan analisis mengenai sambungan jas hujan, saya menggunakan metode penjahitan dengan benang jahit nylon. Namun karena penggunaan benang jahit masih menyisakan celah dan resiko masuknya air ke dalam jas, maka saya memberikan sistem sambungan tambahan berupa seam sealer. Seam Sealer itu sendiri adalah bahan bermaterial polyurethane yang dilapisi oleh silicon dengan bentuk seperti double tape yang biasa dimanfaatkan sebagai penutup jahitan pada jaket, jas hujan, maupun produk waterproof lainnya.

    Aspek aman yang saya terapkan dalam jas hujan ini yakni selain aman dalam segi melindungi seluruh bagian tubuh (kecuali bagian muka dan ujung tangan) dari air, jas hujan ini didesain dengan tambahan rubber sole anti slip sebagai alas kaki untuk menghindari resiko tergelincir saat menginjak jalan yang basah dan licin ketika berkendara, mengingat jas ini didesain menutupi seluruh tubuh hingga bagian kaki.
    Kemudian dari aspek nyaman saya mengaplikasikannya ke dalam desain kerah dan penutup kepala jas hujan, karena sebagian besar pengguna di lapangan memilih untuk tidak menggunakan penutup kepala karna rasa sesak yang ditimbulkan akibat penggunaannya yang bersamaan dengan helmet. Namun dengan begitu resiko masuknya air ke dalam jas hujan tentulah besar, sehingga saya mendesain jas hujan dengan kerah yang cukup tinggi hingga dapat menutupi bagian leher pengguna saat menggunakan helmet untuk mencegah air masuk ke dalam jas hujan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Selain itu aspek nyaman juga diaplikasikan pada desain punggung jas hujan yang diberi ruang tambahan adjustable untuk tas pengguna yang seringkali menimbulkan rasa sesak karna tak jarang tas besar yang digunakan memberi volume tambahan pada tubuh pengguna.
    Lalu aspek praktis diaplikasikan pada celana jas hujan yang diberi sistem sambungan velcro dengan pelindung sepatu, sehingga proses penggunaan dapat dilakukan dalam satu waktu dan mempersingkat waktu penggunaan.
    Dan yang terakhir yakni desain jas hujan yang dapat melindung seluruh bagian tubuh hingga bagian kaki adalah jas hujan yang dapat membuat seluruh tubuh penggunanya tetap kering dan bersih dari ujung kepala hingga ujung kaki, dimana biasanya jas hujan hanya dirancang sampai sebatas mata kaki sehingga resiko basahnya sepatu cukup besar, sehingga saya mencoba menjawab permasalahan tsb dengan jas hujan yang telah saya desain dalam laman pameran ini.

Untuk sambungan antara celana dan sepatu dibuat bentuk seperti itu untuk mempermudah dan mempersingkat waktu pemakaian, lalu saat pengguna sudah menggunakan celana & pelindung kaki tsb, pengguna bisa melepas sambungan memposisikan celana berada di luar dari pelindung kaki. Jadi nantinya pelindung kaki akan berada di dalam celana jas hujan sehingga tidak ada celah untuk masuknya air ke dalam pelindung sepatu. Terima kasih atas sarannya & sudah bertanya!:D

    Yang ingin ditanyakan untuk posisi celana yang saya lihat kan masuk kedalam sarung sepatu, apakah air tidak akan masuk kedalam sarung sepatu dengan mengikuti alur celana ?

    saran : mungkin sambungan celana dan sarung sepatu dibuat dengan resleting dan ada overlap kain dikit yang menutup resleting untuk menambah ketahanan air masuk melalui celah resleting.
