Desain Meja Coffee Shop Dengan Sistem Pembatas

Terkadang saat mendatangi coffee shop untuk bekerja atau sekedar menghabiskan waktu sambil menikmati secangkir kopi, kita dihadapkan pada kondisi dimana sebagian besar kursi telah digunakan oleh pelanggan lain dan hanya tersisa satu kursi di sharing table. Saat kita memilih duduk di kursi tersebut berarti kita harus berbagi meja dengan pengunjung lain yang artinya kita memasuki wilayah privasi mereka yang akan membuat ketidaknyamanan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sistem pembatas yang dapat memenuhi jarak privasi serta mengurangi jumlah kontak mata dengan pengunjung lain sehingga pengunjung tetap merasa nyaman sekalipun satu meja dengan pengunjung yang tidak dikenal.

INTEPRETASI JUDUL
Desain meja coffee shop yang memiliki sistem pembatas untuk menjaga privacy tiap pengunjung. Sehingga pengunjung tetap merasa nyaman walau harus duduk sharing dengan pengunjung lain, karena terpenuhinya jarak privasi dan terbatasnya jumlah kontak mata dengan pengunjung lain.
MASALAH DESAIN
Bagaimana desain pembatas meja yang sewaktu-waktu dapat mengakomodasi kebutuhan penhunjung akan privacy dan dilain waktu dapat tersimpan saat pengunjung tidak memerlukan adanya privacy?
TUJUAN DESAIN
Terciptanya meja dengan sistem pembatas yang flexibel, dimana pembatas bisa digunakan sewaktu-waktu saat dibutuhkan dan bisa tersimpan saat tidak dibutuhkan adanya privasi sehingga tidak mengganggu aktivitas pengunjung berkelompok di atas meja.
MANFAAT DESAIN
Bagi buyer (pemilik kafe), memaksimalkan kapasitas pengunjung kafe sehingga profit yang diinginkan akan tercapai. Bagi user (pengunjung) memberikan kenyamanan saat berlama-lama di kafe sekalipun harus duduk satu meja dengan pengunjung yang tidak dikenal.

    Pagi Pak Mesah, menurut perancang cukup kuat Pak. Pada bagian fitting menggunakan concealed hinge yang memberi perkuatan pada bukaan pembatas serta lipatan fabric yang satu sisi terkunci pada dasar pocket dan satu sisi lainnya terkunci pada bukaan dengan maksimal bentang 90 derajat akan menambah perkuatannya.     Selamat Pagi,
    1. Mungkin perlu ditambahkan keterangan bahwa memang pemilik cafe memang menghendaki tempat mereka digunakan unutk bekerja. Karena kamu masih melihat desain ini dari sudut pandang pengguna/pengunjung, padahal pada akhirnya yang membeli produk adalah pemilik cafe. Sehingga anda bisa menjelaskan manfaat produk ini bagi pemilik cafe.
    2. Perlu ditambahkan Data, Analisis dan Desain yang berhubungan dengan apa yang ingin dipisahkan dalam sebuah aktivitas di sebuah cafe dalm kondisi yang telah diceritakan, apakah kontak visual, teritori, atau hal lainnya. Karena jika di lihat desain produknya sepertinya tidak membatasi kontak visual.
    3. Dalam pembahasan dikatakan ada (fenomena) aktivitas bekerja pada sebuah cafe (fungsi baru cafe) yang berarti ada dua tuntutan kebutuhan akan aktivitas yaitu kebutuhan aktivitas bekerja dan makan/minum. Dalam Data dan Analisis pembahasan masih terpisah padahal seharusnya 2 kegiatan tersebut akan dipenuhi oleh satu produk yang sama, sehingga kedua kegiatan tersebut dilakukan bersamaan. Misalnya dalam kegiatan bekerja mereka juga akan makan/minum lalu dimana perlengkapan bekerja dan makan diletakkan?…
    4. Ada bagian menarik yang bisa di breakdown lebih dalam yaitu bagian pembatas yang terbuat dari fabric, mungkin bisa divisualkan teknik lipat dan pola lipat (dalam laporan), dan juga visual 3D saat pembatas tertutup atau malah mungkin protoypenya untuk mengetahui kesesuaian jenis fabric yang dipergunakan dan kemungkinan terlipatnya mengingat material fabric memiliki ketebalan yanglebih tebal dari kertas dan tingkat kekakuan yang berbeda beda.

    Sebelumnya terima kasih, maaf baru menjawab pertanyaan.
    Untuk pertanyaannya saya tidak begitu paham jadi kalau ada salah pengertian mohon dikoreksi. Sepemahaman saya Bapak / Ibu menanyakan kenapa bentuk pembatas pada satu meja ini sama semua tidak ada variasi.

    Bentuk saya samakan karena saya ingin menampilkan desain jadi satu kesatuan saat posisi pembatas terbuka semua, perancang juga tidak ingin menampilkan terlalu banyak atau berbeda pada detail polanya apa lagi warna screen dibedakan karena secara visual desain akan terkesan penuh dan kembali lagi ke konsep desain japandi style dimana estetik pada gaya desain ini berfokus pada kesederhanaan, fungsi , elemen alami dan kenyamanan.

    Terima kasih untuk pertanyaannya, pada perancangan ini penulis bukan hanya mendesain meja atau pembatas meja saja, melainkan mendesain meja dengan feature tambahan berupa pembatas meja dimana pada bab III data yang dikumpulkan saling berhubungan dalam perancangan meja dan pembatasnya.
    Mengenai aspek privasi kenapa lebih membahas jarak pandang dan jarak individu tanpa membahas suara dikarenakan ruang lingkup pada perancangan ini adalah coffee shop atau kafe yang tidak selalu dibutuhkannya privasi. Tujuan utama pengunjung datang ke coffee shop adalah untuk menikmati secangkir kopi sambil melakukan kegiatan bekerja atau bersantai menghabiskan waktu terkadang membutuhkan privasi untuk tidak berinteraksi dengan pengunjung lain secara visual yang tidak memerlukan fokus 100% . Fokus 100% yang memerlukan privasi secara visual dan audio terjadi ketika kita sedang benar-benar bekerja dan itu dilakukan di office atau coworking space sehingga aspek privasi suara sangat diperhatikan.
    Namun bukan berarti pembatas meja pada rancangan tidak bisa menghadirkan privasi suara , dengan menggunakan material kain flanel atau bisa juga kain PET yang mana material tersebut bisa meredam suara serta bentuk pembatas meja berupa lipatan akan memaksimalkan luas permukaan. Lipatannya akan menjebak low tone dan mid tone dan membantu menjaga gelombang suara agar tidak memantul bolak-balik pada permukaan yang keras.

    Anda mendesain meja atau mendesain pembatas meja?
    Karena nampaknya aspek privacy yg diperhatikan hanya jangkauan pandangan dan jarak antar individu.

    Adakah aspek privacy lain yg diperhatikan, misalnya suara, apakah material sekat origami yg anda pilih memiliki fungsi meredam suara? Ataukah pada komponen meja terdapat fasilitas yg menunjang privasi, misalnya stop kontak di tiap bagian komunal. Sehingga terlihat anda lebih fokus kepada desain pembatas meja saja. Trims

    Selamat malam Kak Musdah, terima kasih sudah coment di room 🙂
    Sebagai pengenalan perancangan desain meja ini menggunakan konsep desain Japandi style , sehingga bentuk pembatas yang menyerupai origami dan kipas jepang dirasa sesuai karena cerminan kebudayaan Jepang. Dan untuk alasan kenapa memilih bentuk seperempat lingkaran pada tiap modul pembatas adalah :

    1. Dari segi estetika dalam perancangan sistem pembatas, diterapkan efek Von Restorff yaitu menambahkan bentuk unik atau berbeda pada desain sistem pembatas yang akan menarik perhatian. Biasanya pembatas atau divider sering kita jumpai pada meja kerja yang bentuknya adalah kotak persegi atau oval dan untuk sistem mekanisnya , pembatas akan ditempatan pada trek langsung yang memungkinkan untuk pembatas bergerak sesuai jalur trek dan ditempatkan sesuai kebutuhan , ada juga sistem sisipan dimana pembatas bisa bongkar pasang serta sistem fix dimana pembatas ditanam dimeja dan tidak bisa dilepas atau digeser. Sehingga bentuk pembatas seperempat lingkaran dengan sistem lipat atau collapse dan tersimpan akan menjadi bentuk pembeda yang menarik.

    2. Dari segi fungsi pemilihan bentuk seperempat lingkaran dikarenakan dengan bentuk tersebut saat user membuka pembatas, maka pembatas akan berhenti pada sudut 90 derajat dan masih pada jangkauan tangan untuk buka tutupnya sedangkan kalau menggunakan bentuk setengah lingkaran per modul sekali buka, akan menyulitkan user karena jauh dari jangkauan tangan. Dengan bentuk seperempat lingkaran, juga dimaksudkan untuk mendukung pemakaian secara individu (kalau user yang membutuhkan privasi posisi duduk di tepi maka dia bisa membuka satu panel pada sisi vertical dan satu panel pada sisi horizontal, kalau posisi user duduk ditengah panel yang dibuka adalah dua panel pada sisi vertical kanan kiri dan satu panel pada sisi horizontal).

    Selanjutnya apakah bentuk seperempat lingkaran memberikan nuansa privacy pada penggunanya? Jawaban saya iya sesuai affiliative conflict theory (Argyle dan Dean, 1965) dan privacy regulation theory (Altman, 1975) privasi didapat dari pemenuhan kebutuhan jarak dan berkurangnya jumlah kontak mata. Ketika kita duduk di meja komunal jumlah kontak mata terbanyak adalah dengan pengunjung yang berada pada posisi duduk 180 derajat dari kita atau posisi berhadapan. Dengan tinggi pembatas vertical kurang lebih 60 cm dari atas meja memungkinkan untuk menghalangi kontak mata dengan pengunjung yang ada di depan kita sekalipun ada sisi lengkung pada pembatas. Sedangkan kebutuhan jarak didapat pada pembatas posisi vertikal (kanan kiri) meskipun lebih rendah dari pembatas horizontal , pembatas ini cukup untuk membuat pengunjung disamping kita tidak memasuki domain kita karena terhalang pembatas.
